This file provides information for Shareware Distributors 
and Disk Vendors who wish to distribute the FileScan 1.x 
package. It includes an extract from the license  
agreement and suggested program descriptions and 
keywords.

DISTRIBUTION:

The complete license agreement is contained in the file 
LICENSE.TXT.

The following paragraph is an extract from the license 
agreement regarding the distribution of the Shareware 
version of FileScan v 1.x ( "the Software"):

III. No fee, charge, or other compensation may be 
requested or accepted, except as authorized below: 
(i) Operators of electronic bulletin board systems may 
make the Software available for downloading provided 
the above conditions are met.  An overall or time-
dependent charge for the use of the bulletin board 
system is permitted as long as there is not a specific 
charge for the download of the Software. 
(ii) Vendors of user-supported or Shareware software 
may distribute the Software, subject to the above 
conditions, without specific permission. Vendors may 
charge a disk duplication and handling fee, which when 
pro-rated to the Software, may not exceed three dollars. 
(iii) Non-profit user groups may distribute the Software, 
subject to the above conditions, without specific  
permission. Non-profit user groups may charge a disk 
duplication fee, which when pro-rated to the  Software, 
may not exceed three dollars.

SUGGESTED DESCRIPTION:

FileScan searches local and network drives for the files  
you need to locate. Easily finds your word processing, 
spreadsheet or any other files. Scans drives for duplicate 
files. Finds and deletes unnecessary files with a click of the 
mouse. Enables you to view detailed file information 
such as size, creation date, content, and attributes.  
Provides you with a list of all directories containing the 
file(s) you need to locate. Sorts the results of 
your search by either filename or directory. Search 
results can be printed or saved to a text file for future 
reference.
